"It's ridiculous" - Legendary name very unhappy with Mercedes Mone's current run; lashes out at AEW

A veteran recently slammed Mercedes Mone's recent AEW run. She is a polarizing figure in the pro wrestling industry, and many fans are enjoying her stint as a belt collector. However, Konnan has another take on her run.

The CEO had 14 belts. Unfortunately, she lost one of her titles a few days ago at ROH Final Battle. She has been causing chaos since losing the ROH Women's World Television Championship to Red Velvet. She still holds 13 titles around her waist.

While speaking on Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, Konnan said Mercedes Mone's recent run isn't interesting enough and claimed that other promoters are crowning her as a champion because of her popularity.

"I think that this thing with Mone is not money, it's not interesting, it's ridiculous. You don't even know what probably ten of the titles are from if that. I think that most promoters, and I've said this before and I will continue to say this because I still deal with them to this day, are marks and they're money marks. A lot of them just [book Mone] to say 'Hey, I met Mone' you know? 'I got her on one of my shows. I picked her up at the f****** airport.' They're marks bro," he said. [H/T - Wrestling INC.]

Konnan believes Mercedes Mone is trying to bring Bayley to AEW

The TBS Champion has gained significant popularity since joining All Elite Wrestling. Meanwhile, her long-time friend and WWE star Bayley hasn't been booked as she deserves.

While speaking on Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, Konnan said Mercedes Mone might be convincing The Role Model to join AEW. However, the latter's contract doesn't end until 2026.

"I’m sure Sasha is trying to sell [Bayley] on it. They’re best friends. ‘I got 10 championships. I do what I want. I write my own storylines with Peppermint Patty.’ You know, [Mone] probably telling all the stuff she gets away with, because she’s a mark for her," he claimed.

It remains to be seen what is next for the 13-time champion.
