On the ice, however, the Blueshirts captain has not produced nearly as much as the organization needs him to if they are going to successfully compete on a game-to-game basis.
The two are not mutually exclusive.
Over his 14 NHL years, which have been filled with many lessons with three clubs, Miller has become extremely self-aware. No one is more cognizant of the team’s need for him to step up more offensively than Miller himself.
