"It just keeps getting better": Minecraft fans react to new coral zombie nautilus

Minecraft is about to get many interesting mobs and items in the upcoming Mounts of Mayhem update planned to be released later this year. Mobs such as the parched, camel husk, zombie horseman, and even the nautilus will completely change the exploration experience of the blocky world. And it seems that the developers are constantly working on making these features even better.

A Minecraft player, u/BushTamer, posted some images on the game’s subreddit showing the newly-announced coral zombie nautilus mob. The user expressed how good these mobs look and they will be trying them once the developers add them to the game.

For those who are unaware, Mojang Studios released the 25w45a snapshot that added a new zombie nautilus variant along with netherite horse armor and a few other tweaks. The coral zombie nautilus will be the variant found in the warm oceans and it features colorful corals growing on its shell.

Reacting to the post, u/KillerCrocTV commented:

“Zombie Nautilus was already my favorite mob, it just keeps getting better!”

u/Sizzling9 replied that the new coral designs gives the zombie nautilus more personality and makes them even more epic. u/TheGuyWhoWatchYou added that they want Mojang Studios to add a new water dungeon for the nautilus mob as it would be perfect.

u/ToughAsGrapes said that they hope this would also add a way for players to collect coral blocks as currently, the only way to get them in a renewable way is by trading with the wandering trader. The other option is tearing up the entire biome, which does not seem viable.

u/throwaway_acc4732874 asked whether this new mob indicates the possibility of more biome variants of other mobs. The original poster replied that it could happen in the next game drop as the developers have mentioned that it was the last content drop for the Mounts of Mayhem update.

During the Minecraft Live event, Mojang Studios announced the Mounts of Mayhem game drop with the release of The Copper Age update. This was very exciting as the developers revealed new mobs and a weapon for the blocky world. After the release, it will be one of the most impactful updates the game has gotten so far.

Instead of focusing on vague features such as the hidden trial chambers and trial ruins in previous updates, Mojang Studios have shifted their focus on smaller but impactful features such as mobs, items, and even gameplay mechanics.
