Is Zay Jones playing tonight? Why Cardinals' WR back from injury is quiet on MNF

6 hours ago 3

Zay Jones is a secondary piece to the Arizona Cardinals' offense.

But because he's been bit by injuries this season, he's often on the mind of Cardinals fans.

It never hurts to have a solid veteran as a WR3 or WR4, and Jones hasn't always been available.

On Monday Night Football, you'd be forgiven for thinking that was still true.

Is Zay Jones playing tonight?

Yes, Zay Jones is playing on Monday night.

He was on the injury report with a knee problem, but he was a full participant in practice leading into Week 9 and didn't actually have an injury designation.

The Cardinals have a fully healthy slate of wideouts, so they've got all sorts of options for backup Jacoby Brissett to throw to.

Jones entered Monday night with 12 catches for 183 yards this season. He didn't have any targets in the first half against Dallas, though.

The Cardinals had gotten Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch all involved, along with tight ends Trey McBride and Elijah Higgins.

You can see Jones out there. He's wearing jersey number 17. He's just not getting the ball.
