The New England Patriots have had a messy situation at the running back position all season long and rookie TreVeyon Henderson has been a victim of that situation.
Henderson exploded onto the scene in the preseason and many thought he might take on lead-back duties immediately. However, that has not been the case and instead he has, at best, split work with Antonio Gibson and Rhamondre Stevenson.
Henderson is once again nowhere to be found early on in the Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills, but that could change as the game progresses.
Is TreVeyon Henderson playing today?
Yes, Henderson is active on Sunday night, he just hasn't gotten a snap yet.
It's unfathomable Henderson hasn't gotten more playing time, especially with Gibson and Stevenson struggling with fumbles.
In fact, Stevenson fumbled AGAIN in the first quarter against Buffalo.
For now, it doesn't look like Stevenson is in the dog house, but he will be if he loses the football yet again. And, if that happens, Henderson should get more work.
Until then, it'll be a mixed bag at running back for New England.
