If you can’t get enough of crying at Colleen Hoover movies, great news: There’s a new one, the Reminders of Him movie, opening in movie theaters this weekend. Make sure you bring a pack of tissues!
Directed by Vanessa Caswill, with a screenplay written by Hoover and Lauren Levine, the Reminders of Him movie is based on Hoover’s 2022 novel of the same name. The story follows Kenna Rowa (played by Maika Monroe in the movie), recently released from prison after serving seven years in prison following a car crash that killed her boyfriend Scott (Rudy Pankow). Kenna is still grieving, but manages to get over her dead ex when she meets the dreamy Ledger Ward, a former NFL player and current bar owner, played by the hunky Tyriq Withers. What’s a girl to do?
Also starring country singer Lainey Wilson in her film debut, Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham, and West Wing star Bradley Whitford, Reminders of Him is sure to tug on your heartstrings in the way Colleen Hoover knows best. Read on to find out where to watch the Reminders of Him movie, including when and where we expect to be able to watch the Reminders of Him movie on streaming.

Reminders of Him will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in the U.S. on Friday, March 13, in theaters nationwide. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Reminders of Him is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Is the Reminders of Him movie streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?
Reminders of Him is not streaming on Netflix, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Universal release. Almost all Universal movies go to the NBCUniversal streaming platform, Peacock.
You will be able to purchase Reminders of Him on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital. You will also eventually be able to stream Reminders of Him on Prime Video, free with a Prime subscription, four months after the movie streams on Peacock.
This is thanks to the deal between Universal and Amazon that sends Universal movies to Peacock for the first four months of the “Pay 1 window,” then to Amazon Prime Video for the next months of the window, followed by four more months on Peacock. If our prediction for when Reminders of Him will be on Peacock is correct, then you should see Reminders of Him streaming on Prime around December 2026.
But the first place you’ll be able watch Reminders of Him movie at home will be to buy or rent on digital platforms, followed by a streaming release on Peacock.
Peacock currently offers two subscription types: Premium with ads and Premium Plus ad-free. Peacock Premium costs $10.99/month, while Premium Plus costs $16.99/month.
You can save a bit by subscribing to one of Peacock’s annual plans, which give you 12 months for the price of 10. These cost either $109.99 with ads or $169.99 without ads.
Peacock Premium Plus is also available to subscribe to via Prime Video with a seven-day free trial that you can’t get by subscribing directly on Peacock.
Is the Reminders of Him movie streaming on Peacock?
The Reminders of Him streaming release date on Peacock has not yet been announced, but you will likely see the Reminders of Him movie streaming on Peacock this winter. Another Universal release, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, will begin streaming on Peacock next month, about four months after the movie opened in theaters.
If Reminders of Him follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital in about a month, around April 2026, and streaming on Peacock around July 2026. That said, other Universal movies have taken just three, or even two months to come to Peacock, so you may see Reminders of Him on Peacock even earlier, around June 2026.
This is all speculation. Universal has not had a consistent digital release strategy. It varies by title. If you want to watch the Reminders of Him movie right away, your best bet is to catch the movie in theaters.
