It's week three of "Saturday Night Live" Season 52. The season has already started strong with New York sports celebrity Jalen Brunson and actor Dakota Johnson hosting the first two episodes. Johnson's "Saturday Night Live" episode even had a special surprise, with her friend, Taylor Swift, making a cameo during the opening monologue. Swift also surprised Johnson during the curtain call with a cake, since Johnson had turned 37 while performing on the show.
Is there a new episode of SNL tonight?

NBC
Yes. NBC normally schedules three or four episodes of "Saturday Night Live" on consecutive weekends before giving the cast and crew a short break. This means tonight's episode will be the last one until Halloween weekend — so hopefully it's a good one.
Who is hosting SNL tonight?
Shane Gillis is back for the third time to bring his slightly controversial comedy stylings to the Studio 8H stage. Gillis was originally fired from "Saturday Night Live" following a scandal involving the comedian's use of racial and homophobic slurs. After that, Gillis forged his own path, creating his own sketch web series, "Gilly and Keeves," with fellow comedian John McKeever; he also toured the country and secured deals for his own comedy specials.
The same month Gillis was first asked to return to "Saturday Night Live" to host the show in 2024, Netflix acquired his TV series, "Tires," to stream on its platform. And Gillis' fame has only skyrocketed since then. With a fourth season of "Tires" on its way at Netflix, the "Bupkis" star is likely to mention its success in his monologue. Alternatively, he may bring up "Madden," an upcoming biopic directed by David O. Russell, in which Gillis plays an original character. Of course, since Gillis is a comedian, he'll probably treat the opening monologue more like stand-up than some celebrities might.
Who is the musical guest on SNL tonight?

Rosalía finished her LUX European and North American tour in September 2026, so she's dropping by "SNL" as the musical guest to tie a nice bow on it all. The Grammy-winning Spanish singer released her fourth album, "LUX," in 2025, which multiple publications listed as the best album of 2025, including Business Insider, Entertainment Weekly, and Dazed. With Rosalía in the running for her first Album of the Year Grammy nomination, it's a great time for the "La Perla" singer to showcase her talent on "SNL."
Who is the SNL host and musical guest next week?

Eric Charbonneau/Getty & undefined
There's no "SNL" host or musical guest next week because the show is taking a two-week break to give the cast, writers, and crew some time off. But when the show returns on October 31, Inde Navarrette will host "Saturday Night Live" for the first time. Navarette rose to fame after starring in 2026's summer sensation "Obsession," but "Saturday Night Live" will show if she can hack a greater challenge: being funny. Gracie Abrams returns for her second musical guest slot that week.
What time does SNL start?

Where can I watch SNL?

NBC
If you plan to watch "Saturday Night Live" live on Saturday, it'll be on NBC's channel or Peacock's livestream. However, if you miss the livestream, don't worry.
