Is ‘Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning’ Streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?

The new Mission: Impossible movie, aka Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, is sky-diving into theaters this weekend.

The eighth movie in the franchise overall, The Final Reckoning serves as part two to 2023’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Man, these titles just keep getting more and more complicated! As with the seventh movie, Dead Reckoning was directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and co-written by McQuarrie and Erik Jendresen. Tom Cruise, of course, stars as agent Ethan Hunt, while Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Henry Czerny, and Angela Bassett all reprise their roles from the previous film. Severance star Tramell Tillman also joins the cast in a small supporting role. Ethan’s mission—and we’re assuming he’ll choose to accept it—is to stop the evil Gabriel Martinelli (played by Esai Morales) from obtaining the AI program known as “the Entity.”

If you watch the first seven Mission: Impossible movies, you might as well watch the eighth one, right? Here’s what to know about where to watch Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and when we expect to see Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’s streaming release date.

Where to watch the new Mission Impossible movie:

The 2025 Mission Impossible movie will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on May 23. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Is Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning streaming on Netflix or Prime Video?

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Paramount Pictures release. Almost all Paramount movies go to Paramount’s streaming platform, Paramount+, and not to Netflix.

You will be able to purchase Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream the new Mission Impossible movie on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription any time soon. If you want to watch Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Paramount+.

When will the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning movie be streaming on Paramount+?

The Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Paramount+ streaming date has not yet been announced. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning streaming on Paramount+ eventually, but we’re not sure when. In 2023, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One was released on digital platforms about three months after the movie opened in theaters, and began streaming on Paramount+ about six months after the movie opened in theaters.

If Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital around August 2025, and streaming on Paramount+ around November 2025.

But this is all speculation. If you want to watch Mission Impossible 8 right away, you can catch the movie in theaters.
