The New York Giants won't have the services of wide receiver Malik Nabers for the Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and he's going to be out a lot longer than that.
Nabers suffered a knee injury in the Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars after he got his foot stuck in the MetLife Stadium turf. Nabers was carted off the field and it was abundantly clear that something significant had happened.
Nabers' injury is terrible news for multiple reasons. Not only is he crucial to New York's offense, but his absence will also make rookie Jaxson Dart's life harder.
But will the Giants get Nabers back this season? Here's what we know.
Is Malik Nabers out for the season?
Yes, Nabers is done for the 2025 campaign, as he was diagnosed with a torn ACL. Now, Nabers will rehab in the hopes he can be ready for the start of 2026.
Given how early in the season Nabers suffered the injury, he should be good to go by the start of next season, barring any setbacks.
With Nabers out, the Giants will lean more on wide receivers Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt, although Slayton is ruled out for Week 6 with a hamstring injury.
Given the fact that the Giants are going nowhere fast at 1-4, they may be inclined to stick with the guys they have instead of making a move to bring in more wide receiver help.
However, we wouldn't rule out New York making a move completely, as acquiring a wide receiver would aid Dart in navigating his rookie campaign.
