Is Keon Coleman injured? Bills star WR off to slow start on MNF

The Buffalo Bills are looking to get back on the winner's list against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, and Josh Allen and Co. are off to a good start.

A long bomb found Joshua Palmer to set up the offense in good field position before Allen hit Dawson Knox for a 13-yard touchdown to answer Atlanta's opening touchdown.

But one thing caught our eye, and that was receiver Keon Coleman.

As the first quarter wound down, No. 0, who was benched for the opening series against the New England Patriots last week, didn't have a reception; in fact, he didn't have a target.

Having been up and down so far this season, it appears to be another slow start for a receiver for whom Buffalo has big hopes in the coming years, and against the Falcons, the defense did a good job of taking Keon away.

Coleman starting to develop into good Josh Allen weapon

Having had at least three receptions and 20 receiving yards in each game, Coleman is productive, but perhaps not as productive as the Bills would have liked from their high draft pick.

Consistency is always a big issue for young players, and for Coleman, he had a 112-yard, one-touchdown game in Week 1, but followed that up with only 26 yards in Week 2 and hasn't surpassed 45 yards in a game since.

So, it will be a learning curve for the young receiver, and we know the talent is there; it is all about developing consistency with Allen, and the offense will then flourish as a result.

But against the Falcons, Keon was nowhere to be seen early, as the Bills need their young receiver to step up and become Allen's go-to guy.
