Jimmy Butler will once again see action in the Golden State Warriors' second preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Golden State head coach Steve Kerr confirmed Butler's availability for the game on Tuesday, along with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and the newly acquired Al Horford.

Butler played 15 minutes in the preseason debut against the LA Lakers, where he put up nine points, four rebounds, and two assists on 3-of-4 shooting from the field. Curry, Green, and Horford also tallied 15 minutes in the 111-103 loss.

Two players are on the Warriors' injury list ahead of their matchup against the Trail Blazers, namely Seth Curry and De'Anthony Melton.
After their game against the Lakers, Kerr revealed that he will be ramping up the minutes for the Warriors' veterans ahead of their opening night game on Oct. 21.
"We usually ramp [the veterans] up a little bit each game, so I would imagine it'll be a little bit more than the other night, but I'll wait to see what Rick says," Kerr said.This year will be Butler's first full season with the Warriors, after being shipped from the Miami Heat in the middle of last year.
Butler appeared in 30 regular-season games with the Warriors last NBA season, averaging 17.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game. Butler was instrumental in the Warriors' playoff run, helping the team reach the second round, where they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jimmy Butler's addition last year raised the team's ceiling. Now that he gets to train with the Warriors for an entire training camp, Butler is excited for what they are capable of for the upcoming season.
In an interview with NBC Sports at their San Diego training camp, Butler expressed that he is looking forward to battling alongside his teammates throughout an entire season.
“I get to do this thing from day one,” he said. “Be with the guys from day one and do what we started out to do from the very beginning. I'm super hyped and I'm super excited. I got to train with my guys this summer. "I got to talk with all the guys. I see what they have been doing. I see how they have been working.
