The Detroit Lions got off to a red-hot start on offense early on in the Week 7 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but wide receiver Jameson Williams did not play a role in that impressive start.
Williams is the Lions' No. 2 wide receiver and enters Week 7 ranked third on the team in receiving yards behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta.
However, things are not going well for Williams early on in the Monday night contest against the Buccaneers. Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is Jameson Williams playing tonight?
Yes, Williams is active and in the lineup, he just hasn't been targeted yet.
The Lions struck quickly on the first drive, but only St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs were targeted.
On the second drive, the Lions were moving once again, but Jared Goff fumbled the ball away and turned it over after four plays, so Williams didn't have much of a chance to get going.
Hopefully things change soon.
