The Pittsburgh Steelers entered the week with a major question mark on the offensive side of the ball after wide receiver George Pickens had missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, and was uncertain to play in Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Pickens is far and away the Steelers' best playmaker on the offensive side of the ball, so the Steelers' offense struggled mightily without him, especially over the last two games.
Thankfully, Pickens was able to fully participate in practice over the last two sessions of the week and was removed from the injury report on Tuesday, which signaled he would make his return to the field on Wednesday.
But Pickens has been quiet early on in his first game back in Week 17. So, what's behind Pickens' slow start on Christmas? Let's take a look.
Is George Pickens playing today?
Pickens is officially active for the contest and has been on the field over the first two drives but has only been targeted once. It also hasn't helped that the Steelers' offense as a whole is off to a terrible start.
Hopefully things will pick up for Pickens and the Steelers' offense moving forward.
