Is Final Fantasy XIV down right now? (November 4, 2025)

If you’re wondering if Final Fantasy XIV is down today, November 4, 2025, the answer is both yes and no. On November 3, 2025 around 9:51 pm PDT, Square Enix revealed that there were ongoing DDOS attacks on FFXIV, and that there are likely going to be issues as they look into it. Given that was just a few hours ago as of the time of this writing, you as a player could certainly have login issues over the rest of the day, depending on how long it takes to resolve.

The short answer though, as of this writing, is that Final Fantasy XIV is not down. That’s the nature of DDoS attacks, though. It could affect people differently, and by the time I log in next time, I might not be able to get through as easily as I did today.

There are ongoing DDoS attacks as of November 4, 2025 that are affecting the NA Data Center worlds in Final Fantasy XIV. While I had no issues logging in, other players have been reporting over the last few hours that they’ve had a variety of issues. According to a post on the Square Enix forums, the game is having issues with:

Issues players may face

・Disconnections from NA data center Worlds

・Difficulty logging in to NA data center Worlds

・Difficulty accessing, sending, and receiving data from NA data centers

While personally, I had no problem logging on and accessing the Market Board, and just run around, it may be a bad day if you’re trying to do difficult things like climb higher in the current Deep Dungeon.

There are two easy ways to check and see if Final Fantasy XIV is down, and the first of course, is to try and log in to the game. Personally, I’ve had no issues, but that could certainly change. Another great option is to use the FFXIV Server Status website. Just click that link and you’ll see the general status of the game and your ability to log in and connect.

The FFXIV website also has a server status page, but it doesn’t have quite the same amount of info as “Is FFXIV Up?”, so I’d recommend checking both anyway. Today might be a day to relax on the game, until Square Enix says the issues has been resolved.
