Dying Light: The Beast is the latest series entry from Techland, introducing fans to a new chapter featuring returning protagonist Kyle Crane. Those new to the beloved zombie parkour shooter franchise would want to give this title a try. While Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass is a great tool for checking and trying out new games, players may be disappointed to know that The Beast is not on it.
Here's everything to know about Dying Light: The Beast, and also the possibility of the title arriving on the popular games subscription service in the future.
Will Dying Light: The Beast arrive on Xbox Game Pass at a later date?

There is no confirmation from publisher Techland about a future launch on Xbox Game Pass. Thus, players wanting to experience Kyle's newest adventure are currently out of luck. The only way to play the game at the moment is by purchasing it on one of the various platforms it is available on.
Dying Light: The Beast launches on September 19, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, with a PS4 and Xbox One version also coming later in 2025. The latest entry stars protagonist Kyle Crane, who first appeared in the original Dying Light, following up on what happened to him at the end of The Following story DLC.
Players looking to dip their toes into the franchise for the first time to catch up on the hero's history will also be disappointed to learn that the previous Dying Light games are not in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue either.
Interestingly, Dying Light: The Beast originated as a DLC to Dying Light 2: Stay Human, before being turned into its own thing.
At $60, it is priced lower than most modern AAA games. This may entice some players to give it a go, but others will have to wait for the title to arrive on Xbox Game Pass, if it does at all.
