The Indiana Fever and the New York Liberty square off Saturday afternoon in the first preseason meeting for both teams as tune-ups continue before the 2026 WNBA regular season begins.
The Fever will not be at full strength just yet, two weeks before the start of the regular season. Indiana already has published its injury report for Saturday's contest at Barclays Center, which confirmed that Aliyah Boston, one of the Fever's three All-Stars, will not be available as she manages a lower leg injury.
But notably not appearing on the injury report are Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, both of whom are set for some minutes in the Big Apple.
Clark is expected to play against the Liberty
Clark is set for her first WNBA action -- even in an unofficial capacity -- since July 15, 2025, when she suffered the groin strain that eventually ended her second pro season.

Clark was limited to 13 games in 2025 as she dealt with multiple nagging injuries. The Fever never wanted to jeopardize Clark's long-term health and shut her down for the season on Sept. 4. Indiana eventually went on a surprise run to the WNBA semifinals, where it lost to the Las Vegas Aces.
But it's a new season, and Clark returns to the court amid championship hype for the Fever. Fans will get their first look at Clark since the FIBA Women's World Cup qualifying tournament last month beginning at 3 p.m. ET, when the Fever tip off against another anticipated title contender in the Liberty.
