With summer in full swing, the Iowa high school softball season has been heating up at the same time.
Here are some of the more noteworthy individual performances from recent action around the state. All stats are used from those updated on Bound by June 21, 2025:
Arilyn Steenblock, Panorama
The senior had herself a game, driving in seven runs on three hits while scoring three times herself.
Cora Niemeier, Harris-Lake Park
Niemeier was a home run short of the cycle, recording a single, double and triple while plating seven runs and scoring three times.
Kennedy Borud, Southeast Polk
Borud hit two home runs, finishing 2-for-3 with seven RBI and a walk.
Hayden Thomas, Tri-Center
Thomas, a senior, was a perfect 5-for-5 with a double, scoring four runs and driving in one.
Addyson Donohue, Columbus Catholic
In seven plate appearances, Donohue collected five hits with four runs and three RBI as her team put up 30.
Mallory Tomkins, Dubuque Hempstead
Tomkins belted out three singles, a double and a triple, scoring three times and driving in a pair.
Viktoria Storm, George-Little Rock
Storm, a sophomore, struck out a state-best 23 batters, facing 36 while allowing just five hits.
Lydia Kriegel, Iowa Valley
Kriegel recorded 16 strikeouts with just six hits allowed over seven innings of work.
Izzie Moore, Wayne
Moore is the ace of a talented squad, as she tossed a two-hitter with 16 strikeouts and one walk on 94 pitches vs. 21 batters.
