Insider makes trade proposal that sends Jonathan Kuminga to the Bulls

With NBA free agency winding down in a wild month of July, there are still moves to be made with multiple teams.

There are notable restricted free agents throughout the NBA that are set to find deals that have taken a while to form.

The Chicago Bulls have their player to deal with in Josh Giddey, but other restricted free agents across the league include the Golden State Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga, the Philadelphia 76ers' Quentin Grimes, and the Brooklyn Nets' Cam Thomas.

Insiders believe that the majority of the unsigned players aren't going to be changing teams, but for the Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga, things aren't looking very smooth.

Kuminga, 22, has made it known that he wants to serve a more productive role for whatever team he plays for next, and the Warriors haven't come to an agreement with the forward on a set price for a new deal.

This is where mock trades take place, and ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel believes that the Bulls could be one team Jonathan Kuminga could be sent to.

Siegel predicted that the Bulls could get Kuminga in a sign-and-trade on a four-year, $115 million deal, and Trayce Jackson-Davis in exchange for Ayo Dosunmu, Jalen Smith, a protected Chicago 2029 first-round pick, and a 2028 second-round pick.

This deal would leave center Nikola Vucevic out of the trade, as the Warriors' previous interest in the 34-year-old has faded away since showing interest in him back when the 2025 NBA trade deadline was drawing to a close.

Other factors would play a part in a deal like this, though. Are the Bulls interested in committing to a young Jonathan Kuminga long-term? Do the Warriors believe a package like this is enough to send him away? Time will tell, but expect the current Warriors' former No. 7 pick to get a large payday this offseason.
