Presidential Inauguration Fashion: Revisit the Most Iconic Looks Ahead of Donald Trump's Ceremony

Tiffany Trump didn't even know Michael Boulos the first time her father Donald Trump was elected president.

This time around, Michael wasn't only her date to her dad's second inauguration on Jan. 20: The couple are married and expecting their first child together.

While she isn't as overtly political as some of her older siblings, Tiffany—Trump's only child with second wife Marla Maples—was front and center along with first lady Melania Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner, Eric Trump and wife Lara Trump, and Barron Trump to support her father as he was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States.

Tiffany, 31, donned a floor-length velvet coat dress for the occasion, as freezing temperatures drove the inauguration inside the Capitol rotunda for the first time since 1985.

And by her side was Michael, 27, who was first photographed with Tiffany at the Taoray Wang show during New York Fashion Week in September 2018 and made his Instagram debut as her boyfriend four months later.

While early reports claimed they first connected at Lindsay Lohan's beach club in Mykonos in 2018, that was later denied—though Tiffany did visit her pal Lindsay on the Greek isle that summer.

Michael, one of Lebanese-American businessman Massad Boulos and wife Sarah Fadoul Boulos' four children, was born in Houston and spent his formative years in Nigeria before attending university in England.

Tiffany, who largely grew up in California with her mom after her parents' divorce in 1999, was in law school at Georgetown University and recently single (then-boyfriend Ross Mechanic was her date to Trump's 2017 inauguration) when she met Michael. He was working on getting his master's degree in project management, finance, and risk at City, University of London.

After their NYFW sighting, Tiffany brought Michael to Thanksgiving at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., and the first picture she shared of the two of them was taken in front of a Christmas tree in the White House's Red Room that December.

So he was obviously family-approved before he was introduced to the world as Tiffany's significant other.

"I adore Michael!" Tiffany's mom Marla told Town & Country after the couple went public.

He returned to the White House for a Christmas visit with Tiffany in 2019, this time joined by his parents.

Tiffany graduated from law school in 2020 and, while her dad lost his bid for re-election that November, Michael took the opportunity to pop the question at the White House while the family was still in residence and the couple announced their engagement on Jan. 19, 2021.

"It has been an honor to celebrate many milestones, historic occasions and create memories with my family here at the White House, none more special than my engagement to my amazing fiancé Michael!" Tiffany captioned a photo of them on Instagram. "Feeling blessed and excited for the next chapter!"

And not only was she using the f-word for the first time, she was sporting a 13-carat emerald-cut diamond ring said to be worth $1.2 million.

The couple made it official on Nov. 22, 2022, marrying at Mar-a-Lago in front of 250 guests.

The bride wore a Grecian-inspired custom gown by Elie Saab and event-level-wedding planner Toni Breiss attended to the details with a big assist from Tiffany's mom, according to the New York Times.

"Tiffany Ariana: Once I held you in my arms," Marla posted to Instagram the day before the nuptials. "Now as I watch you move forward with love, know you’ll always be my baby, now and beyond your wedding day. Love, Mom."

But it was Tiffany's dad who delivered the news that she was pregnant a few months ago while on the campaign trail.

Spotting Massad Boulos in the audience during an Oct. 10 visit to the Detroit Economic Club, Trump said, "He happens to be the father of Tiffany’s husband, Michael, who’s a very exceptional young guy. And she’s an exceptional young woman. And she’s going to have a baby. So that’s nice."

Trump also later recognized Massad's enthusiastic support for him in 2024: Calling him an "accomplished lawyer and a highly respected leader in the business world" in a Truth Social post, the then-president-elect announced in December that Massad would be his senior adviser for Arab and Middle Eastern affairs in his second administration.

And while Tiffany hasn't said much about her private family world since her dad became president for the first time, she and Michael do post highlights from their life together—including never-before-seen wedding pics she shared on their first anniversary in 2023, showing their first dance and towering five-tier cake.

"Happy anniversary my love!" she wrote. "So grateful to walk through life with you!"

Michael captioned his own set of wedding memories a few days later, "I will love you forever!"

And though their vacation photos have placed them everywhere from a yacht in the middle of the ocean to snowy Switzerland and the shores of a tropical beach, their latest snaps put them in Washington, D.C., in time for the inauguration and assorted festivities.

"Exciting days ahead for America!" Michael captioned shots of him and Tiffany dressed up for a pre-inaugural ball along with Ivanka and Jared.

It might be déjà vu in some ways, but Tiffany's personal life couldn't look more different this time around. See her and Michael's romance in pictures:
