Pregnant Cardi B Shares Glimpse Inside Her 33rd Birthday Celebration
Drake is giving his son Adonis the best birthday he ever had.
The “Nice for What” rapper and ex Sophie Brussaux reunited to mark their son turning 8 with a lavish western-themed celebration, according to photos and video shared on social media Oct. 12.
The event embraced the cowboy vibe with custom “Wanted” signage and an extravagant three-tier birthday cake featuring fondant designs of cow print, a lasso, cowboy boots and jeans with a longhorn belt buckle, as seen in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The trio also appeared to be dressed on theme with coordinated denim outfits as they posed for family photos while Drake cut into the elaborate cake. The 38-year-old donned a dark vest over his Canadian tuxedo, while Sophie, 36, accessorized her ensemble with a gold statement belt. As for Adonis, he went for a laidback look with a white tee under his open collared shirt.
Drake also marked his son’s big day by sharing a candid shot of him on Instagram Stories, in which Adonis crouched down while making a hand gesture.
Though Adonis has generally grown up out of the spotlight, Drake has given occasional insights into life as a dad in the years since opening up about his and Sophie’s initial co-parenting hiccups.

“I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who, we've had our moments,” he said during an October 2018 episode of HBO’s The Shop. "I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don't have any desire for him to not love his mother. I don't ever want the world to be angry at his mother."
These days, the pair have seemingly established a healthy dynamic, which Drake subsequently channeled into his lyrics. He flaunted their more harmonious nature on his 2021 song “Champagne Poetry,” rapping, “Co-parent of the year, we figured out a rapport.”
