India A are all set to take part in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025, which commences on Friday, November 14. The side will lock horns with the United Arab Emirates in a Group B clash.
The BCCI recently named an exciting squad for the competition. Jitesh Sharma will lead India A, with the contingent featuring a number of young players who have impressed in the Indian Premier League. There are a few team combinations that they can put out.
India A’s squad for Rising Stars Asia Cup: Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Nehal Wadhera, Naman Dhir (vc), Suryansh Shedge, Jitesh Sharma (c) (wk), Ramandeep Singh, Harsh Dubey, Ashutosh Sharma, Yash Thakur, Gurjapneet Singh, Vijay Kumar Vyshak, Yudhvir Singh Charak, Abishek Porel (wk), Suyash Sharma.
Stand-by players: Gurnoor Singh Brar, Kumar Kushagra, Tanush Kotian, Sameer Rizvi, Shaik Rasheed.
On that note, here is India A's strongest playing XI for the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025.
Openers: Priyansh Arya and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

The aggressive left-handed duo of Priyansh Arya and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who set the 2025 edition of the IPL on fire, will take first strike for the team. Abishek Porel could serve as a backup option.
Middle Order: Nehal Wadhera, Naman Dhir, Jitesh Sharma (c & wk), Ramandeep Singh, Ashutosh Sharma
2025 IPL - Sunrisers Hyderabad v Kolkata Knight Riders - Source: GettyIndia will want to bat deep, and picking the finishing duo of Ramandeep Singh and Ashutosh Sharma could be a smart idea. The big-hitting right-handers have more power than Suryansh Shedge and can bowl some part-time medium-pace while sharing third-pacer duties.
Ahead of him, the obvious names will line up. Punjab teammates Naman Dhir and Nehal Wadhera could round off the top four, with captain and wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma batting at No. 5. The positions of these middle-order batters will be flexible.
Lower Order: Harsh Dubey, Gurjapneet Singh, Yash Thakur, Suyash Sharma
2025 IPL: Qualifier 1 - Punjab Kings v Royal Challengers Bengaluru - Source: GettyIndia A might be able to make do with just two specialist fast bowlers, given the conditions on offer. In that scenario, they will want someone who can contribute at the death, with Yash Thakur perhaps being the frontrunner. Vijaykumar Vyshak only recently returned from an injury, while Yudhvir Singh Charak doesn't have the all-phase prowess necessary.
Harsh Dubey and Suyash Sharma should be the team's frontline spinners. While Dubey could also contribute a few lusty blows down the order, Suyash will likely prove to be tough to pick for all oppositions in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025.
