‘In The City’s Danielle Olivera Promises She’s “Not A Homewrecker” As Rumors Rage On About Her “Technically” Married Baby Daddy: “My Conscience Is Clear!”

Danielle Olivera is clarifying the timeline of her relationship with Eoin Heavey.

In Bravo’s new Summer House spinoff, In the City, Olivera—who spent seven seasons on the flagship show—introduced viewers to her new man, Heavey, an Irish CEO and tech entrepreneur with whom Olivera is now expecting her first baby. But questions about the beginning of their relationship were quickly brought to light when Amanda Batula revealed to the group that Heavey was still legally married, despite the fact that he and Olivera had been dating for months. A blind item sent to Bravo & Cocktails last August also accused Olivera of being a “homewrecker,” blaming the end of Heavey’s marriage on their alleged “affair.”

When DECIDER caught up with Olivera via Zoom, she promised there was “no overlap” with Heavey’s marriage, noting that he’s “not a cheater” and she’s “not a homewrecker.”

“I asked him every question under the sun,” Olivera said. “I knew that he was still married—technically. Obviously, I was like, ‘The divorce, when is that going to happen?’ Unfortunately, it takes a six-month separation before New York State allows you to go ahead and file the divorce paperwork. A lot of people don’t know those things.”

Although Olivera said Heavey “moved on quickly,” she compared the end of his marriage to that of Batula and Kyle Cooke, whose relationship was “falling apart before they actually got separated.”

“What happens at this age is definitely not an in-your-20s problem,” Olivera added. “He was separated for months before we started dating … My conscience is clear!”

Olivera revealed that Batula, one of the harshest critics of her relationship with Heavey, has since “reached out and apologized” to the couple for some of the things she said on the show. As we know, Batula found herself in a similar position as Heavey when, just two months after announcing her separation from Cooke, she confirmed that she and her Summer House co-star West Wilson were seeing each other romantically.

“[Batula] didn’t believe that someone who was still married can be broken up and move on until she found herself in the same position,” Olivera said. “I mean, I wouldn’t say our relationships are the same, but she found herself like, ‘Oh, I understand.'”

In the City airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
