In latest Knicks’ roster battle, Bruce Brown is easy to get behind

There are some who will never forgive Odell Beckham Jr. for past indiscretions during his previous incarnation as a Giant. There are some for whom that kind of silly behavior is simply too hard to erase from the memory bank. That’s OK. 

There were still a lot of Giants fans — an awful lot of them — who were charmed by Beckham’s desire to make a comeback back where it had all begun for him as a pro, and many who took great delight when John Harbaugh announced that Beckham made the team. That begins with Beckham himself, who retreated to his hotel room after Harbaugh gave him the word and did the only thing that came naturally to him. 

He wept. 

“Figuring out I’m going to be here and have an opportunity to rewrite some of the last bit of the chapter, don’t know if it’s my last year,” Beckham said the next day. “I just know I’m going to give my all. Definitely had that moment where you could let out some of the pain that I feel I went through. It was just very healing, very emotional, something I was very happy about.”
