— Blaise LaVista (@BlaiseLavista) July 19, 2025As a junior, the 6-foot-2 LaVista caught 60 passes for an Illinois-leading 1,447 yards with 24 touchdowns. He will have a new quarterback in the fall, as Southern Cal commit Jonas Williams transferred to Lincoln-Way East this year.
According to 247Sports, LaVista is the 32nd-ranked player in Illinois and the No. 193 wide receiver overall in the country.
LaVista told Dawgman.com that Washington is "really focused on me and supporting everything that will help me be a better player and person."
He noted that after making his decision, "A lot of Power Four programs called me and were like, 'are we too late?' I was like, 'Yeah, I know where I want to be,' so they didn't offer me."
