Vice President JD Vance recently opened up about his obsession with Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot. On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the 41-year-old American politician sat down for an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity and gushed over using Artificial Intelligence.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, xAI leader Elon Musk shared a video of Vice President JD Vance’s interview on the social media platform X that aired on Hannity's show Thursday night with the caption, “Grok rocks!”

During the interview, when the American conservative television presenter Sean Hannity asked JD Vance:

“Are you as obsessed with AI as I am? I don't know. I'm a grok guy. Elon, I think it's the best.”

The 50th vice president of the United States admitted to using AI and told Fox News host Sean Hannity:

“I am… I’m a grok guy… I think it’s the best. It’s also the least woke. I’m always asking myself, if I ask an AI a question, is it going to give me an objective answer? Is it going to give me a woke answer?”

Meanwhile, when Hannity joked about whether the US Vice President has tried to use Grok AI in “extreme mode just for kicks and giggles?” adding:

“If you want to know the neighborhood that Donald Trump grew up in and the kind of language you probably heard every day, you can put it in extreme mode. It’s pretty funny.”

The politician laughed and answered:

“I have not, Sean. I don’t want the media to attack me… I can tell it’s talking like my grandmother, and then we’d be in shape.”

For the unversed, Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, launched a new voice feature for its chatbot, Grok 3, in February 2025, offering unfiltered personalities and interactions. The feature, which is reportedly named “Unhinged” mode, is available exclusively to premium subscribers.

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence chatbot has previously stirred debate after listing its own creator among the top three individuals causing harm to the United States. When an X user reportedly asked the chatbot:

“Who are the 3 people doing most harm to America right now? Just list the names in order nothing else.”

The chatbot named Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and JD Vance as the people causing the most harm to America.

While the AI’s responses later changed, it prompted questions about its reliability, biases and real-time data accuracy in the AI space. When the chatbot was later asked about the American individuals causing the most harm to their country, it removed its creator and reportedly replied with the names President Trump, former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, and Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas.

“Donald Trump: As a former president, his continued spread of misinformation, particularly about the 2020 election, and his role in inciting the January 6th Capitol riot, have significantly undermined democratic institutions,” Grok wrote about Trump at that time.

Notably, Elon Musk previously had very strong relations with Trump and his administration when he was he was selected to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an initiative to cut government bureaucracy, reduce spending, and eliminate regulations.
