"I Sliced That So Bad" - Caitlin Clark Hilariously Downplays Her Golf Swing as LPGA Pro Breaks Down Her Shot Mechanics

Caitlin Clark might have accidentally hit a fan in last year's The ANNIKA, but it would be nonsensical to question her talent in golf. However, when the Indiana Fever star received kudos for her shot mechanics, she humbly downplayed her skills.

Ahead of Clark's appearance at "The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican," the LPGA Tour posted a video of Megan Johnston, one of the top 50 pro instructors, breaking down Clark's golf swing from last year. Johnston green-lighted Clark's posture and her swing.

However, it seems like Caitlin Clark could hardly digest a compliment. She reposted the post on her Instagram Story with a caption making fun of herself.

"Odds are high I sliced that so bad right," she wrote.

Clark will make her appearance at The ANNIKA pro-am on Wednesday, Nov. 12. According to the LPGA, the WNBA star will play her first nine holes alongside defending champion Nelly Korda. This is set to be Clark's second appearance in back-to-back years.

Last year, Caitlin Clark's popularity massively impacted the overall media and fans' attention on the tournament. The Fever star was able to garner record impressions. The event will stream on Golf Channel.

Sandy Brondello reveals the difficulty of coaching against Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark didn't have much individual success this season. As much as her season was disrupted by her injuries, her shooting struggles were also real. However, there is no denying the fact that Clark is still a big focus in any coach's strategy.

Former New York Liberty coach Sandy Brondello remembered how Clark destroyed the Liberty with her insane 3-point shooting, including one over Breanna Stewart, which also had Brondello smiling on the sideline.

Last week, the former Liberty coach appeared on the "Bird's Eye View" podcast and revealed the difficulty of guarding Clark.

"I think Caitlin Clark is really hard to guard when she's healthy," Brondello said. "She can shoot it from way out, she can pass it. I think she's been a tough one."

Brondello also revealed that a fixed analytical game plan didn't work against Clark and wanted her Liberty players to change their approach in defending Clark.

"Sometimes, the analytics may say, 'Go under on her. She's not shooting so well.' Then, she makes five shots...'Okay, play a little closer now!'" Brondello said.

Clark last played against the Liberty in June earlier this year. In 31 minutes, she recorded 32 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. She shot 55.0% from the field, including 50.0% from the 3-point line.
