Former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade of Brazil lost his 26 pounds of gold at ONE Fight Night 38.
It was a tough pill to swallow for ‘Wonder Boy’, who was able to knock down Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu of Mongolia in the first round of their high-stakes encounter.
But ‘The Tormentor’ was able to storm back and cinch in a fight-ending rear-naked choke in round 4 to become the new king of the 145-pound division.
After suffering the biggest setback of his promising career, Andrade took to social media to address his shortcomings.

The Tiger Muay Thai and Evolve MMA affiliate wrote:
"My striking qualities were better than his, but I must admit, I ended up forgetting the strategy that I brought into the fight. I shouldn't have fought on the inside. I should have been more patient."Andrade was indeed the superior striker, but Baatarkhuu’s grit and relentless perseverance ended up being the deciding factor.
Moreover, the 36-year-old also had his way with the Brazilian on the ground, breaking him with devastating ground-and-pound before securing the submission finish.

Fabricio Andrade believes he deserves immediate rematch
As champion, Fabricio Andrade fearlessly fought all challengers and displayed a warrior's mentality each time.
While 'Wonder Boy' doesn't mind climbing the ladder once more to earn a shot at the throne he once occupied, he believes he deserves an immediate opportunity to claim it back.
The former world champion said on Instagram:
“I was the champion since 2023. I had to fight Lineker two times, and defend another time, never rejected any opponent. If you don’t want to fight me again, I understand. I will fight anyone else for the bantamweight title, with all due respect."Why did you not like this content?
