Malaysian-Thai slugger Aliff Sor Dechapan knows he has a tough assignment in the offing when he resumes business on the global stage of ONE Championship next year.

However, the Sor Dechapan warrior isn't going to back down at all when he challenges for Prajanchai's ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title.

The 21-year-old's world title ticket was confirmed by the promotion shortly after he racked up another spectacular win at ONE Fight Night 38, which emanated live from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 5.

There, he put on a striking clinic to outslug teenage Lebanese warrior Ramadan Ondash via unanimous decision.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA, Aliff Sor Dechapan promised to put on a show in hopes of becoming the first-ever Malaysian to wear ONE gold. Above all, he rallied fans to support him in his bid to unlock his dream.

"Firstly, I want all my Malaysian fans to support me. I want all of them to be behind me. I promise that I will do my best, and I promise that I will bring everything I got to the ring. I want to be the first Malaysian to get that ONE Championship belt," the confident youngster shared.

Aliff has been in pristine form ever since suffering back-to-back defeats on the scorecards to Chinese star 'Fighting Rooster' Zhang Peimian and Ellis Badr Barboza.

He heads into the tie on a five-fight winning streak, achieved against Zakaria El Jamari (round-one KO), Walter Goncalves (unanimous decision), Shamil Adukhov (round-one KO), Elmehdi El Jamari (unanimous decision), and Ondash.

Could Aliff Sor Dechapan claim the biggest win on his resume and 26 pounds of gold, or will Prajanchai show him why he sits atop the stacked strawweight Muay Thai mountain?

Stay tuned to Sportskeeda MMA for any updates on their hotly anticipated world title showdown in ONE Championship.

Aliff Sor Dechapan says no to sequel against Ramadan Ondash

Immediately after losing to Aliff Sor Dechapan, Ondash declared that he wants to run it back against the Malaysian-Thai slugger inside the Mecca of Muay Thai.

The former, though, doesn't see the point in that fight as he gets prepared for his clash against the divisional king.

"No, I'm not interested in a rematch with Ramadan Ondash. I am waiting for my title shot. I don't think he [Ondash] is the toughest opponent. I think there are other people out there that I would rate higher than him," the 21-year-old offered.
