I just set a Guinness World Record for this horrifying trick — but I just do it for laughs

Jeepers creepers, how’d he pop those peepers?

Williams Martin Sanchez Lopez has nabbed a Guinness World Record due to his bizarre and revolting talent for popping his eyes out of his head like a cartoon character.

“I’m a person that likes to kid around and laugh, so the fact that I can pop out my eyes, let’s say that it’s a very different point of view in general,” Lopez told Guinness while describing his unique parlor trick.

The Uruguay native, who lives in Milan, Italy, can reportedly bug his peepers out a world record 0.74 inches beyond his sockets, according to official measurements by his doctors. This was more than enough to eclipse the old record of 0.71 inches held by Brazil’s Sidney de Carvalho Mesquita.

“I could basically move the upper and lower part of the muscles around my eyes, [and] over time I perfected my skill until at last I was able to move the eye completely out of its socket,” said Lopez. Guinness World Records

The googly-eyed fellow can achieve this Judge Doom-evoking effect by relaxing the muscles around his eyes and then pushing out his peepers — a process known as protrusion. No strain no gain.

Lopez first realized he had a talent for ocular popping at 8-9 years old when messing around with friends.

“I could basically move the upper and lower part of the muscles around my eyes, [and] over time I perfected my skill until at last I was able to move the eye completely out of its socket,” said the father-of-four, who works in logistics.

It’s safe to say he’s had his eye on the ball for some time.

His retinal inflation has become such a sensation that the Uruguayan gets oodles of fans requesting that he balloon up his orbs on camera while screaming their name, as seen in videos with millions of views.

Lopez still uses his skill to freak people out to this day.

He said his favorite trick involves getting close to unsuspecting gawkers and popping his peepers out, causing them to “basically jump two meters high.”

Lopez hopes his unique hobby can inspire others to try and get recognition for their unique gifts.

The belle of the eyeball added that it doesn’t matter if someone breaks his record, as it still will have been a “very beautiful experience I’ve had here at Guinness World Records.”
