Anthony Joshua recently opened up about going up against Jake Paul in the squared circle and claimed that he knew exactly what he needed to do to beat the former Disney star.

Joshua and Paul are set to throw down in a professional heavyweight boxing match this weekend at the Kaseya Center in Miami. While Paul was initially booked for an exhibition fight against Gervonta Davis last month, the fight was scrapped by the promoters after the WBA lightweight champ's latest legal issues.

Given that Joshua is considerably bigger and more experienced than Paul, many are backing the Englishman to emerge victorious. However, some believe Paul may have the speed and skills to take the former heavyweight world champion into deep waters.

During a recent face-to-face interaction, Joshua explained why he's confident about beating Paul and claimed he has the ex-Disney star figured out. He said:

"He's a mental person. If I can break his soul, and I can break his mentality, then I've broken Jake. That's why I said, I gotta take his soul. It's not just physical, I gotta take your soul in the ring... You have that instinct. You can see it. When you're fighting, you can see a small glimmer of someone just starting to fade, and then you just keep exploiting that... Some people give up, some people get knocked out."

Jake Paul issues bold prediction for Anthony Joshua boxing match

While many fear Jake Paul could be heading toward a brutal knockout loss against Anthony Joshua this weekend, the former Disney star doesn't believe so. Paul recently dismissed the possibility of Joshua being able to finish him in the ring and predicted a dominant win for himself.

In an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Paul shared a glimpse into his game plan for the Joshua fight and said:

"I don’t think he can knock me out because he’s not going to be able to line up his shots properly to be able to land the hard punch. I think it’s going to be a very tough fight for multiple rounds, but then when I figure out his pacing, his style, his speed, his footwork, he’s going to get a little bit tired trying to chase me around, and then I’m going to set up the shot. I’m not going to say exactly what, but I see what it is and I think it will end in the fifth or sixth round." [H/t: MMA Fighting]
