I have this down to a science.
As Post Wanted’s resident theme park girlie and Disney Adult, I’ve spent a lot of time narrowing down all of the essentials of what goes into my park bag.
Having a well-stocked park bag that isn’t too stocked is key — it needs to have everything I’ll need from rope drop to fireworks without becoming so heavy that it’s annoying to carry all day.
Throughout the years, I’ve tried everything out, from a big backpack to the Disney-themed Loungefly mini backpacks, but eventually landed on the Baggu Medium Crescent as not only the best bag for everyday life, but the best one for theme parks, too.
For the record, Disney World’s bag policy states that bags must be soft-sided and smaller than 24 inches long by 15 inches wide by 18 inches high.

JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan
AmazonMini fans are now a non-negotiable — we are not overheating on these trips! Even though it’s small, this fan packs a serious punch and best of all, it doesn’t take up too much room inside your bag. If you’d prefer something less handheld, consider a wearable neck fan like this one from Torras.
Touchland Hand Sanitizer (3-Pack)
AmazonSo far, we’re staying hydrated and we’re staying cool, but another thing we want to stay is healthy. Having hand sanitizer to use after touching roller coaster lap bars and carousel poles is a must. Touchland’s hydrating hand sanitizers are great because of their slim profile, making them lightweight to carry.
Lume Whole Body Deodorant
AmazonSometimes we just need to refresh, right? The mini-sized Lume is perfect to throw in your bag, so it’s always there when you need it. It also works great to combat “chub rub.”
Simple Modern Kids Summit Water Bottle with Straw Lid
AmazonOne of the newest additions to my park bag is a mini water bottle. In Disney World, most restaurants will give you free ice water if you ask, and bringing a stainless steel water bottle will keep that water cold for a long time. It fits nicely inside my Baggu, but I’ve also clipped it to the outside of the bag before and carried it around that way.
Apple AirPods 4
AmazonThese are not a necessity and more something that I just like to have on me when I’m out and about. Sometimes, if the crowds are a bit overwhelming, they help to create some quiet.

AmazonWalking 20,000-plus steps per day is going to come with some aches and pains. I’ve found that the easiest and most lightweight way to carry pain reliever is in these packets of two.
Anker Nano MagSafe Power Bank
AmazonIf you only take one suggestion from this list, make it this one. A portable charger is an absolute must, even if you’re starting every day at 100% charged. I’m partial to this Anker model, but if you’re heading to a Disney park, you may want to invest in a FuelRod instead; when you buy one, you’re able to swap them out at any FuelRod kiosk (all across Disney property) for a fully charged one.
