Amy and Tammy revisit where their weight journey began in 1000-Lb Sisters
In the new TLC video, Amy and Tammy returned to the same dumpyard they had visited six years ago, marking a full-circle moment in their journey. A flashback clip of 1000-Lb Sisters showed them speaking with Ronnie from S&S Salvage, who had helped them back then find a scale to check their eligibility for bariatric surgery.
When Amy stepped on the scale in that old video, it showed 406 lbs. In tears,
“This is the most I’ve ever weighed,” she admitted.Tammy, who was at 605 lbs at the time,
“It’s my fault that I’m this size,” she shared. In the present-day video, Amy weighed 249 lbs. While talking about her progress, Amy said she still had more weight to lose in 1000-Lb Sisters. Tammy quickly supported her, saying she had already lost 150 pounds and should be proud of that. Ronnie, the same worker from their first visit, greeted them warmly and said he was happy to see how much they had changed. The visit brought up a lot of emotions.
Tammy now weighs 238 pounds, having lost over 400. For both sisters, returning to the dumpyard brought back old memories—but this time with a new outlook. What once felt like a low point now reminded them of how far they’ve come. Instead of focusing on where they began, they were able to see the progress they’ve made.
