‘Hunting Wives’ star Malin Akerman promises ‘salacious and sexy’ Season 2

Malin Akerman promises that her “Hunting Wives” character, Margo Banks, will be just as saucy in the upcoming second season.

“I would say [that Margo is] equally as engaging and salacious and sexy,” the actress assured Page Six exclusively at the Sense of Home Gala earlier this week.

“I love my character,” Akerman continued. “She’s the best. I am so happy to be playing Margo Banks. She’s one of the most exciting characters I’ve ever gotten to play.”

The surprise Netflix smash centers around Sophie (Brittany Snow), a young woman from Cambridge, Massachusetts, who moves with her husband to Maple Brook, Texas, and becomes captivated by Margo, a charismatic leader of an elite cadre of wives known as the Hunting Wives.

Akerman, 48, further teased to Page Six that Margo and Sophie’s “relationship maybe takes a bit of a turn this season.”

“There’s a lot more fun to be had with other characters, not with me, but other characters have fun doing their thing as well, [so] we get to experience [that],” she explained.

Earlier this year, Akerman was equally effusive while dishing on Margo to Page Six.

“She’s unapologetic, sexually powerful — who doesn’t want to do that?” she told us, noting that she’s “living vicariously” through the campy character and “enjoying every single moment to yield that power.”

However, she clarified that Margo is “not a great role model!”

The “27 Dresses” star — who is Sophia Bush’s longtime friend — attended the Sense of Home Gala to honor the “One Tree Hill” alum and her partner, Ashlyn Harris.

“I have known her for, I want to say, over 20 years,” Akerman explained. “You know, she’s just one of my people. And Ash is, for me, newer. Now, I think we met for the first time about two years ago, maybe a year and a half ago. And I love and adore her. They’re just good, solid people, you know.”

A Sense of Home works to create homes and a community for displaced families and individuals.
