How to watch Turning Point USA halftime show: TV channel, time and more for TPUSA's Super Bowl alternative with Kid Rock

This Super Bowl Sunday, most viewers won’t have to change the channel to watch the NFL’s official halftime performance during the New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks game.

Latin music star and Grammy winner Bad Bunny will take the stage on NBC, giving fans a show-stopping halftime performance. However, his performance won’t be the only halftime option this year.

Turning Point USA announced plans to host its own halftime show featuring performers the group supports. This came after the NFL faced criticism from President Donald Trump and others over the Bad Bunny selection, since the artist primarily sings in Spanish—a departure from past Super Bowl performers.

Turning Point USA’s alternative halftime show will include a performance from Kid Rock.

On Jan. 25, Turning Point USA announced that there will be various ways to watch its "All-American Halftime Show."

It will air on channels/streaming services including The Daily Wire, Real America's Voice, TBN, Charge!, National News Desk, NTD and One America News. 

Additionally, TPUSA said it will stream the event on its YouTube, X and Rumble pages.

What time is the Turning Point USA halftime show?

• Time: TBD, halftime of Super Bowl 60

There doesn't appear to be an official time for the "All-American halftime show," considering it's meant to be an alternative to Bad Bunny's Super Bowl 60 halftime performance, which also doesn't have an official time.

With Super Bowl 60 kicking off at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, the halftime show is expected to be around 8 p.m. ET, but it will determined by how fast the game passes.

On Feb. 2, Turning Point USA announced four performers for its "All-American halftime show."

• Brantley Gilbert
• Lee Brice
• Gabby Barrett

Kid Rock is the headliner, as a longtime singer, rapper and songwriter in the rock-rap genre along with country rock. Gilbert is a 41-year-old country rock singer from Georgia, Brice is a 46-year-old country singer from South Carolina, and Barrett is a 25-year-old country music singer from Pennsylvania.

Why is Kid Rock performing Super Bowl halftime show?

Kid Rock is headlining Turning Point USA's alternative "All-American halftime show," which is intended to be a conservative counter-program to Bad Bunny's Super Bowl 60 halftime performance.

Intentionally, Kid Rock was selected to appeal to a much different audience market than Bud Bunny, who sings primarily in Spanish and has previously been critical of immigration policies under the Trump administration. Trump was critical of the NFL's selection of Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl 60 halftime show.

“I think it’s absolutely ridiculous,” Trump said of the selection of Bad Bunny, per Politico.

Kid Rock is a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump's, including past performances at his rallies. Turning Point USA has said its goal for the halftime performance is to celebrate "faith, family and freedom."

"We're approaching this show like David and Goliath. Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible … or is it?" Kid Rock said in a release announcing the lineup. "We plan to play great songs for folks who love America."

What is Turning Point USA?

Turning Point USA is a right-wing nonprofit whose mission statement is to "identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government. Turning Point USA believes that every young person can be enlightened to true free market values."

It is targeted toward students on college campuses, but has also been found to exist on high school campuses as well.
