For the first time in two decades, the Carolina Hurricanes enter the 2026-27 season with a championship to defend.

After lifting the Stanley Cup to close out the 2026 season, the Hurricanes will be the team everyone is watching this time around. That's especially true in Carolina's home market, of course, and fans there have a new option for watching games this year.

The vast majority of Canes games will now air on the team-owned Hurricanes Hockey Network (HHN), which is available regionally on Fubo as part of the streaming service's newly launched My Local Sports add-on to its Fubo Sports subscription plan.

It's the ideal streaming solution for the die-hard sports fan, with the Fubo Sports plan providing access to more than 30 sports -specific and major broadcast networks, including ESPN Unlimited, and the My Local Sports add-on ensuring fans can watch the Hurricanes all season long. Better yet, the package also includes NHL Center Ice for free, so hockey fans can keep tabs on all the action from around the league.

What is Fubo?

Fubo is a live TV streaming service designed with sports fans in mind. Instead of requiring a traditional cable or satellite package, Fubo lets subscribers stream live TV through the Fubo app on supported devices, including smart TVs, streaming sticks, phones, tablets and web browsers.

The service is especially appealing for cord-cutters who still want access to live games. Depending on your plan and location, Fubo includes major sports and broadcast networks such as ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN and more, giving fans a way to watch NFL games, college football, NBA, MLB, NHL, soccer, golf, racing and other live events without a cable contract.

One of Fubo’s most useful features is Cloud DVR, which allows subscribers to record live games, shows and events and watch them later. All U.S. plans include unlimited Cloud DVR storage at no extra charge, which is helpful for fans who want to record games that overlap, start late or air while they are away from home.

For sports fans, the main draw is flexibility. Fubo offers live sports, local channels, national networks, add-on packages and on-demand content in one place, with no long-term contract required. That makes it a strong option for viewers who want a cable-like sports experience while keeping the ability to adjust or cancel their streaming plan over time.
