How to watch Rockwall vs. Sachse in Texas high school softball playoff series

Two Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex-area softball schools will be starting up its UIL 6A Division I bi-district series Wednesday night.

Rockwall takes on Sachse in a best-of-three series that will start postseason play for both squads. Game 1 will take place at 7 p.m. in Sachse, while the series shifts to Rockwall on Thursday for Game 2, also at 7 p.m. If necessary, a third game is set for 6 p.m. Friday at Highland Park High School in Dallas.

Entering the playoffs, Rockwall has a 14-15 overall record, but the Yellowjackets went 9-3 in their district, finishing third. They ended the regular season winning four of their last six games, including a three-game win streak in which Rockwall scored a combined 34 runs.

In that three-game surge, Taylor Minor went 6-of-9 with a home run, five runs scored and six RBIs; Chloe Phe was 6-of-10 with five RBIs and two runs scored and Presley Brott went 6-of-11 with a home run, six runs scored and six more driven home.

Sachse enters the postseason at 18-9 overall and also finished third in its district with a 12-4 record. The Mustangs have won four straight games, capping the regular season with a 7-6 win in 10 innings against Rowlett on April 17.

Sophomore Maya McClarity is the team’s top hitter at .576 and also leads in home runs (6), RBIs (46), slugging percentage (.988) and doubles (15). Shelby Siratt, a junior, leads in on-base percentage (.637) and runs scored (40) while hitting .514. Senior pitcher Logan Schultz has struck out 86 batters in more than 81 innings.
