How to watch Downey vs. Warren in California high school football

Crosstown rivals Downey (7-1) and Warren (2-6) have given high school football fans many outstanding battles with Gateway League titles on the line over the years.

In recent seasons, the dynamic has usually been that one team is a clear favorite but the game still comes down to the wire. In 2025, however, Warren is an even bigger underdog than the matchup has seen from either team in recent memory. Particularly after the Bears got upset last week by Mayfair, which Downey previously beat 33-14.

If Warren manages to pull the upset, the two rivals plus Mayfair move into a three-way tie for first place. Whereas the Vikings, led by 4-star Arizona commit Oscar Rios, can effectively clinch a conference title with a win. But they know that Warren probably won't back down at any point and will probably raise its game in this one.
