After months of performing at home, Bad Bunny is ready to end his "No Me Quiero Ir De Aqui" residency in Puerto Rico with a special show on September 20.

The show commemorates the eighth anniversary of the devastating Hurricane Maria. It will feature songs from the “DeBI TiRAR MaS FOToS” album, along with other top hits.

The tour has brought Bad Bunny back to his roots, with passionate fans showcasing plenty of Puerto Rican pride.

“I’ve done a lot of shows here in Puerto Rico, and I don’t think I’ve felt so much energy [before],” Bad Bunny said after the first show via i-D. “The pride, the sense of homeland that unites generations.”

The 31-year-old, born in Vega Baja, made history by having the 2020 album "YHLQMDLG" become the first all-Spanish-language album to reach number one on the Billboard 200. Other honors for Bad Bunny include multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Award wins.

Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rico Concert: Why this show is so special

The last concert will commemorate the eighth anniversary of Hurricane Maria, which forced over 100,000 people to relocate and caused severe damage in 2017.

The show is as special as the tour, which, per WTVR, has generated over $400 million for the local economy.

Per Amazon, the show is a collaboration between Amazon and Bad Bunny to work on the following initiatives:

  • Education and technology
  • Food delivery and agriculture support
  • Economic development

“Benito embodies the spirit of Puerto Rico, and together we’re creating a celebration that transforms his passion for the island into real impact for its people,” said Rocio Guerrero, director of music, Latin-Iberia, Amazon Music.

“By combining music, Amazon technologies, commerce, and community programs at scale, we’re engaging global audiences to this historic moment while strengthening Puerto Rican communities. We are incredibly proud of this multiyear collaboration, which turns the power of music into meaningful and lasting progress for the island.”
