What is ‘Call her Alex’ about?

Alex CooperAlex Cooper discussed the emotional documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend. Disney

While Cooper’s interviewed everyone from Kamala Harris to Khloé Kardashian, her new docu-series puts her on the other side of the microphone for an intimate look at her own life and rise to fame.

“I wanted you guys to see where I came from,” the media mogul told audiences at the premiere, per a press release. “I think this was really a way for you to get to know me as Alex Cooper from Pennsylvania.”

While filming began two years ago during Cooper’s first “Call Her Daddy” tour, the intimate episodes also touch on her upbringing and her experiences as a D1 soccer player, as she re-visits the Boston University field and emotionally accuses her college coach of sexual harassment. (Page Six has reached out to Boston University for comment, but did not immediately hear back.)

“It’s really opened my eyes to how difficult the system is, and it’s so built against us as women,” Cooper said at the film festival, per People.
