Mammoths exclusively spawn in the Snow Biome, which becomes accessible once you upgrade the Campfire to level 4. It doesn’t have a set spawn location, so you may have to explore the Biome for a little while before encountering it.

The quickest way to fast-track the Campfire upgrades is to chop down as many trees as possible around the Campsite. After that, continue to deposit wooden logs into the fire while making good use of the Sprint function. Take care not to deplete your hunger meter, as that can lead to a game over if you’re not careful.

Additionally, while in the Snow Biome, it would be prudent to craft items like Warm Clothing to protect yourself from the freezing weather conditions.

Mammoths are the most challenging creatures to tame, so you must be prepared accordingly. First, collect the Old Taming Flutes from the abandoned cages near the Campsite. Before you can use them to tame the Mammoth, they need upgrades to be at their most efficient. You can do so at the Skills Building after filling up the Upgrade meter, a yellow bar that fills up upon taming different animals. We recommend upgrading it to a Super Taming Flute.

Approach a Mammoth and use the Super Taming Flute to start the taming minigame. Repeatedly tap the Left Mouse Button to keep the cursor in the green area. If successful, the Mammoth will require you to fetch certain food items. The prehistoric creature’s requests will be in five stages, as detailed below:

• Stage 1: 2x Pumpkin, 1x Cake
• Stage 2: 2x Pumpkin, 1x Cake
• Stage 3: 2x Pumpkin, 1x Cake
• Stage 4: 2x Pumpkin, 1x Cake
