The Great Outdoors quest is one of the first you'll find after leaving your initial area in WoW: Forever, in which you meet an NPC who teaches you about camping.

It's an extremely simple one—you perch your backside in front of a campfire and then wait for a short while as a buff accumulates, teaching you the importance of regularly resting at fires for their passive bonus. Basically, you just:

  1. Press X to sit in front of the fire, which will complete the first stage of the quest
  2. A buff will appear in the top right called Welcoming Campfire and will count down from 60 seconds
  3. When it reaches zero, you get the buff and finish the quest

Simple stuff, but this quest is bugged for some players. When they try to sit, it doesn't register, meaning you can't complete the first stage. I assume Blizzard will be working on a hotfix, but one solution that works for some players is pressing X to sit in front of the fire, then typing /sit into chat. Give it a try and see.

Otherwise, you might have to return to this one later, which is definitely frustrating, as this NPC's follow-up quests introduce you to different aspects of some early-game professions and crafting.
