To take down Gigantamax Garbodor Max Battles in Pokemon GO you must equip yourself with the right defenders and attackers. The creature debuts during the Max Battle Day on Saturday, November 1, 2025, and will be available in Power Spots from 2 pm to 5 pm local time.

Gigantamax Garbodor is a Poison-type Pokemon. Therefore, it will take super-effective damage from Psychic- and Ground-type attacks. You must spend 800 MP to enter the fight. Up to 40 players can challenge this Power Spot boss simultaneously. However, with the power level of creatures available, you can take it down with 2–3 players.

Best team composition and strategy for Pokemon GO Gigantamax Garbodor Max Battles

The best team to use against G-Max Garbodor includes the following Pokemon:

• Crowned Sword Zamazenta
• Dynamax Blissey
• Dynamax Alakazam

Lead with Crowned Sword Zamazenta as it soaks all of Garbodor's attacks. Charge the Dynamax meter with it and switch into Alakazam during the Dynamax phase. Use three turns of Max Mindstorm. Switch back into Blissey or Zamazenta to charge up again. If at any point you see your defenders getting low, use three rounds of Max Spirit with Blissey to top off the health bar.

Note that you shouldn't use Charged Attacks during G-Max battles.
