Justin Gaethje looks to represent America as he competes for the UFC lightweight title on the White House lawn on June 14.

UFC Freedom 250 celebrates America’s 250th birthday, on President Donald Trump’s birthday.

Gaethje (27-5), the former BMF Champion, attempts to be an American hero, winning gold from the Georgian and Spanish fighter. Topuria (17-0), a two-division champion, returns to action and looks to dismantle another opponent.

There’s been plenty of tension between the two fighters leading up to fight night. However, Topuria, who has taken out Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira, credited Gaethje’s skills before adding that his style will result in him standing tall.

"Now with Justin Gaethje, everyone is saying, 'This is a super easy fight, he's going to get knocked out really fast,' but they're forgetting that Justin Gaethje is a very tough guy with a ton of experience," Topuria to Alvaro Colmenero via Championship Rounds and MMA Junkie.

"It's a tough fight, but at the same time, like we always say, there are levels to this. Everyone has their moment, and I feel like this is my moment, and victory will be mine.”

The co-feature will see a massive heavyweight clash when Alex Pereira faces Ciryl Gane for the interim UFC heavyweight title. Pereira attempts to win a title in his third weight class. Gane (13-2, 1 NC) hasn’t lost a fight since 2023.

The winner will face Tom Aspinall, who has been dealing with an eye injury after facing Gane.
