How Jennifer Lopez switched up her tattoo dedicated to Ben Affleck after their divorce

The last vestige of Bennifer is officially gone.

Two years after Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck split, Lopez seems to have finally covered up her tattoo that she had inked as a tribute to their relationship.

Though there has been speculation of a removal for some time, the design is very much in tact — with some changes. The ink made an appearance on Memorial Day in an image Lopez shared on social media with her son, Max.

Wearing a white Antica Sartoria crochet dress over the long weekend, Lopez showed off her obliques, giving a partial view of the infinity symbol that sits high on her ribs.

Though the new version of the tattoo looks remarkably similar to the old, it appears the singer covered up her ex’s name, which was placed within the design.

“Spending the day with the people I love,” Lopez wrote on a carrousel of images from the long weekend, including a few snaps in a white string bikini.

Lopez and Affleck professed their love via body art on Valentine’s Day 2023 with coordinated tattoos, writing on Instagram, “Commitment ♾️ Happy Valentine’s Day my love 🤍.”

The post has since been taken down, but the tattoos surely remained.

Back in December, fans noticed that Lopez’s tattoo seemed to be dissappearing during a performance where she wore an itty bitty bra top and briefs on stage. However, it now seems that she simply used makeup to cover the design up.

At the time, an anonymous commenter on @deuxmoi shared that she had exed her ex’s name with a hummingbird last year.

The bird is one of her star’s personal talismans; Perhaps it can work as a permanent good luck charm in the future.
