Jarren Duran had an interesting season for the Boston Red Sox.

The left fielder provided a solid amount of power and speed, but other facets of his game were lacking.

The 2026 season was Duran's second in three years with at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases.

Still, he managed to provide just 0.4 bWAR in 151 games. Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter wrote that Duran's season was one of the worst 20-20 seasons in Major League history.

"There have been 527 individual 20/20 seasons in MLB history, and Duran's 0.4 WAR this year is tied for 519th among them," Reuter wrote.

"The counting statistics still point to some offensive value, but his overall production and defensive value declined sharply. He has fallen well short of both his 9.0-WAR peak two years ago and his 4.9-WAR campaign in 2025," he added.

Duran's strikeout rate increased from 24.3% to 27.1%, and his walk rate decreased from 8.6% to 6.7%.

That's not what you want.

Plus, he provided little on offense in the Wild Card Series against the New York Yankees, going 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in four plate apperances.

Duran's name has been included in trade rumors for the past few seasons. Will this be the offseason the Red Sox deal him?

A 20-20 season looks great on paper, but you have to wonder if Duran can return to the player who affects the game in several different ways.
