Brenen Thompson is fast.

And that's not doing the Los Angeles Chargers' newest draft pick justice. He was the fastest player at the NFL Combine.

The wide receiver out of Mississippi State isn't a big dude, but he's a ridiculous athletic talent.

The Chargers got him with the 105th overall pick, the fifth pick of the fourth round on Saturday in the 2026 NFL Draft.

How fast is Brenen Thompson? This is his 40 time

Brenen Thompson ran the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in 4.26 seconds.

That's one of the fastest times ever, and it was this year's fastest.

Thompson isn't just speed.

In 2025 with Mississippi State, he had 57 catches for 1,054 yards and six touchdowns. That worked out to 18.5 yards per catch.

He started his career at Texas, then went to Oklahoma, only really breaking out with the Bulldogs of Mississippi State.

Now, he joins Mike McDaniel's offense and gives Justin Herbert a ton of speed to throw to -- that's exciting.
