"How ego-hungry are you?" - WWE star wants CM Punk to retire and leave the business 

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has a target on his back. The star is currently dealing with The Vision.

Punk was in a fiery promo segment with Bron Breakker this week on RAW. The two stars traded insults ahead of their huge title match. During the war of words, Punk made it clear that he was not ready to let go of the title anytime soon.

During the recent RAW Recap, Austin Theory felt it was high time Punk retired and cleared the ring for younger talent.

"I mean, you saw CM Punk tonight with that title. Like it's just not for him anymore. It's time to go, Phil. It's time to go."

He continued that Punk probably wanted a John Cena-like retirement tour. He felt it was a dragged-out storyline, and the old timers didn't deserve a year of storylines dedicated just to end their career.

"It's funny you say retirement tour and CM Punk saying he's not ready to go. Maybe that's him pitching his retirement tour. I think all these guys just want a retirement tour. But it's like, come on. You gotta leave for a year? We gotta say goodbye to you each night for a year? Like how drawn-out is that? How ridiculous is that? How ego-hungry are you? You're such a good guy, but we gotta say goodbye to you on Monday, and maybe Friday, and definitely on the PLEs, and definitely at WrestleMania. And you're gonna be on that show, and maybe we just make one big show all about you."

CM Punk will face Bron Breakker next week

The January 5 edition of RAW will mark WWE's first anniversary on Netflix. The show will feature CM Punk in a huge title defense.

The Best in the World will go face-to-face with Bron Breakker for the gold. The challenger has been a thorn in Punk's side, spearing him for the last two weeks.

It will be interesting to see how a grizzled veteran like Punk fares against a younger, physical, and more agile opponent like Breakker.
