E! News Is Nominated for a Daytime Emmy: See the Complete List
This group is paving the way for future artists.
After the 2025 Emmy Award nominations were announced by Harvey Guillén and Brenda Song on July 15, a few stars stood out as this year’s trailblazers.
Bella Ramsey, who was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for their role in The Last of Us for the second year in a row, made history as the first openly non-binary performer to earn more than one nomination from the Television Academy.
Meanwhile, Ayo Edebiri made history as the youngest Black woman to receive three acting nominations for her role in The Bear as well as becoming the first woman to ever be nominated for both acting and directing in the comedy categories in the same year.
For his part, Owen Cooper, who earned a nod for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for his performance in Netflix’s Adolescence, broke records by becoming the youngest actor to ever get nominated in the category at 15 years old. Previously, Scott Jacoby held the record for his role in the 1972 TV movie That Certain Summer at age 16.
Even Hollywood legends like Harrison Ford and Kathy Bates are continuing to make Emmys history. While at 83, the Shrinking actor earned his first-ever Emmys nomination this year for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, the Matlock actress became, at 77, the oldest person ever nominated in the Lead Drama Actress category for her role in the CSB reboot. The record was previously held by Angela Lansbury, who was nominated at age 70 in 1996 for Murder She Wrote.
As far as shows go, while the already highly-nominated Severance led the pack with 27 nominations, The Studio—starring Seth Rogen and Catherine O’Hara—earned its place as the most nominated new comedy series of all time with 23 total nominations.
