Tina Knowles and Ex Mathew Knowles Reunite For Book Tour
Prepare to blast off into summer reading.
Indeed, what better way to make a dent in that ever-growing TBR list than setting up a chair and cracking open a book while on the beach, at the lake or propped up next to the nearest fan. And this summer is chock full of some fun new titles.
Take, for example, Taylor Jenkins Reid, who is quite literally, moving to new heights with her ‘80s-set new novel Atmosphere (out June 3), which follows Joan Goodwin—the latest in the author’s trailblazing heroine protagonists—and her fellow NASA recruits who are training to be the next set of astronauts to go where few have gone before them.
While Jenkins Reid is shooting for the stars, R.F. Kuang’s latest, Katabasis (our August 26) is moving in a decidedly different direction. After all, grad school student Alice Law must join forces with her rival to save the soul of her mentor after an accident sends him into the depths of Hell.
Meanwhile, Lisa Jewell and S.A. Cosby are among the thriller-writing favorites who are taking readers for a wild, twisty ride this summer.
Atria Books, Ballantine,Putnam, FSG, Flatiron, Random House
Jewell’s latest Don’t Let Him In (out June 24) is a dual narrative following two women who are each growing suspicious of the seemingly-great guys in their lives—who happen to keep dropping some eyebrow-raising red flags.
Cosby, meanwhile, delivers another southern noir with family drama King of Ashes (out June 10) focusing on an eldest son returning home after his father’s accident to find his brother’s involvement with local criminals have far-reaching repercussions.
And for those looking for a bit of summer romance, Annabel Monaghan has delivered your next sweet read as It’s a Love Story is a lovely enemies-to-lovers tale about movie executive Jane and a cinematographer Dan, who pull out all the stops to try to get their film made—even if it means revisiting Jane’s most humiliating moment as a child star.
