“His decision to talk sh*t will hurt him” - Marat Grigorian eager to silence "rude" Rukiya Anpo at ONE 173

Former ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion and Glory titleholder Marat Grigorian of Armenia can’t wait to step into the Circle this weekend, if only to silence his upcoming opponent – ‘Demolition Man’ Rukiya Anpo – who has been talking a lot of trash since their fight was announced.

Grigorian and Anpo are set to lock horns at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri, which will go down live on Sunday, Nov. 16, from Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, and the two have gone back and forth on social media and through various interviews.

It’s safe to say Grigorian has grown tired of it and is ready to trade leather. He told Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview:

“I stayed calm. He tried to talk, and I just wanted to let him know I’m ready for war. I fight, not talk. And then he burst out. I couldn’t hold back after that. He’s rude, and he will know that his decision to talk sh*t will hurt him.”

Grigorian can’t wait to get his hands on Anpo, and he won’t have to wait long.

Marat Grigorian says a victory over Rukiya Anpo at ONE 173 could lead to another title shot: “I just need this win”

Marat Grigorian believes he’s knocking on another opportunity for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship, and all he needs is to beat ‘Demolition Man’ Rukiya Anpo at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Nov. 16 in epic fashion.

Grigorian told ONE Championship:

“I’m already there [in the World Title picture]. I just need this win, continue winning, and warm my hands up for fighting Superbon or Noiri. Whoever wins, I don’t care. I just want that ONE World Title. That’s it.”
